Cool! A weblog! This is an easy way for me to update my Comments daily (add a little more stuff? bore you with even more mundane nonsense?) and for you to respond to comments or tag or just stare in bewilderment at the junk I just wrote and wonder why anyone would bother putting up such drivel...or...maybe post a favorite poem, or what the weather is like where you are, or just send me an emoticon tag. You're out there, I know you are, and I'm glad you've stopped in. :)
p.s. here, what you see is not just what you get - there are archived pages when this page gets full

So here we are, into the school year. Little guy is in his new class with most of the same people but new teachers, though the French teacher is actually one he had a couple of schools ago. His first "take him home" call came on Friday, which thankfully happened on a day I was off anyway; nothing major there, simply him complaining of a stomach ache. I think he ate too much candy (he came back from the cottage with several extremely large sized chocolate bars that I insisted at least stay in the fridge instead of in a bedroom where there may be bugs or whatnot attracted to that). He also discovered I was home that day so it took him until after a test in the morning to start feeling sick. I like to give him the benefit of the doubt, but, hmmm.
We have a busy week this week. It the start of his developmental worker again, and piano, and I have an appointment Tuesday to see about the used car I want (depends on my finances but fingers are tightly crossed), an evening campfire at friends to see about the solar eclipse, then Wednesday is also Open House at the school, and we have a voyage on the steam train, and Sunday a play date with a fellow his own age and with similar interests and issues.
Me, I just finished all my assignments for my .Net course and am studying for my exam on the 28th. I don't know what my mark is for my last assignment is yet, but my average is about 97% at the moment. I am still in French though right now on "work" time, and am contemplating the next thing which I'm pretty sure will be the challenge for credit French one. That's much cheaper and doesn't involve assignments, just reading a book and writing an exam.
Next up is finishing editting my book "I Ching Jukebox" and getting it up on LuLu. Then in November is Nanwrimo and Christmas and yeah ... time is flying by this year, but what a year.
Oh, speaking of flying time, I did see that special with Brian Mulroney and it made me sad, because after all these years he is still and angry and bitter as he was when he was in power. The Liberals didn't start touting how great NAFTA was after he left, he decimated the Conversative party for years, and like his current counter parts is blaming all the problems on things done previously by the Liberals, which is fine if it actually relates to stuff they did. Finger-pointing-is-us. Yup. Still don't like the Conservatives. And that goes Provincially too, because I do remember what the Harris government did then and their promises of improving the Liberal fixes to their messes holds about as much water with me as a sieve. Same goes for the Liberals who have bitterly disappointed me this time, most particularly with their behaviour concerning autistm. I've said it before and I'll say it again, Autism and Austistic Spectrum Disorders do not go away magically at age 6 when these problems are foisted on the school boards who in turn are having school principals and administrators make medical decisions on some very complex neurological problems. I will never forget the words of an acting principal to me last year: I know about Asperger's I read a book.
I wish I had that book. Must be nice to have all the answers, because me as his mother and dealing with this for 11 years now with numerous specialists could really use such a simple solution. It would certainly make my day, let me tell you.
And now, happy birthday to my assorted Virgos, most notably Jim on the 9th. I was also very sorry to hear about a collegue of mine losing her husband on the 7th. My heart goes out to her and I do hope that this ending is the beginning of a good phase in her life.
And that's about it for right now, no doubt there's more stuff this week! Have a good one, everybody.
